Many of us face problems and struggles in life and have no one to help us express them properly so they never get dealt with, but just because we can function with them doesn’t mean it’s a good thing. The longer they get left to be dealt with, the more deeply rooted they become in our personalities, relationships, and how we generally feel and treat others. It becomes a disservice to the genuine reflection of who we are and gives people a misrepresentation of our true selves. Despite this, for some situations, this is the most comfortable position to be in. Sometimes there is comfort in the struggle and as strange as it may seem, that’s ok. No one lives a perfect life - everyone has flaws. My acceptance of being broken emotionally and doing nothing to fix it is probably my biggest but I could never undo all the pain since I’ve sat with it for too long.
