"You'll never find a rainbow if you're looking down." 

During the most significant storm I'd ever seen in Sydney, I stumbled upon this moment of pure magic. I was doing my thing, photographing the details of the heavy rain combined with the urgency of the people running through the streets trying to stay dry, when I got to an intersection of the main road and a laneway. There was only a tiny gap of sky visible between the tall city buildings, and before I could even take in my surroundings, the clouds in that gap parted. The sun poured perfectly down the middle of the laneway, creating a beautiful sunshower. At the end of the laneway, a rainbow suddenly appeared! It was utterly out of place, yet somehow perfectly placed. I couldn't believe what I was looking at. A rainbow at street level? I didn't waste any time and began taking as many photos as possible. Lucky I did because two minutes later, the clouds closed back up, and the rainbow disappeared. What an extraordinary moment to witness, let alone capture. The universe put me there. My purpose was to document this unique moment, to prove to the world that magic exists.
