It’s standing near the top of a rocky edge, in the oldest part of Iceland: The Westfjords. Sixteen million years have passed since a huge eruption pushed those basalt rocks out of the Arctic Ocean. Ice ages and glaciers carved them into those dark and ruffled cliffs. No human and no god have ever stand there. However, I’ve seen a Gyr falcon sitting on the top of it.

GM, I’m Phil Garcia, a French professional photographer living in the Westfjords of Iceland, the most remote region of the country. My images have been awarded in international photography competitions and major European nature photography festivals. I published several Fineart books about Iceland that have been sold over Europe. Last winter I collaborated in one of the latest projects from the BBC (to be broadcasted next year).
“Arctic mood” is an evolutive collection of Icelandic landscapes that will be limited to 8 images.
It features secret places that are difficult to access (and to locate from the picture). Pictures are taken in special or harsh weather conditions, making them very unique and impossible to copy.
To keep this collection's scarcity as high as possible, I'll not mint any landscapes from places that have been already shown on the blockchain.
All images are and will stay unique.
