Queen Amanikhatashan was the ruling queen of the Kush Kingdom. As a Queen, her proper title was "Kandake". Queen Amanikhatashan is one of the most powerful figures of the Meroe region in Sudan. She is associated with Nut, the maize goddess, as a High Priestess she. Nut was the sky goddess who was the mother of the primary gods (Osiris, Isis, Set, Nephthys, Horus).
