DVK Presents: Official Artwork for the Nordic Blockchain Conference 2024 at Højbro Plads, Copenhagen

This artwork reimagines the iconic Højbro Plads as a timeless canvas, intertwining past, present, and future to illustrate the evolving landscape of society and technology. It envisions a future where blockchain technology, digital tokens, and cryptocurrencies seamlessly integrate into everyday life.

In this piece, a scene unfolds where a woman buys flowers using a currency yet to be invented, symbolizing the transformative potential of blockchain. It captures the essence of being on the cusp of innovation, ready to forge connections and create the future.

We are all part of this journey towards tomorrow.

This is the first time I have created an artwork in this manner, delving into the history of a location and exploring parallels between our society's past and present. This piece is an appropriation of a work by Danish artist Paul Fischer (1860-1934). Although Paul Fischer did not receive much appreciation during his lifetime, today his works are celebrated and displayed in the museum of Copenhagen.
