I envision a colony of inhabitants coming together as one body. Maybe to celebrate or worship, maybe a commemorative milestone or maybe they simply enjoy the comfort of togetherness. In a time where large gatherings have felt taboo for far too long, I relish in the familiarity of a scene like this. From giant to miniature, from lush to weathered, the spectrum of generations are present for a common purpose. With these vibrant colors, one can only conclude that this must surely be a happy occasion.

In the Land of Dreams anything is possible. Why do you think they are all here?

“Land of Dreams” is a series of images aiming to transport the viewer to a magical land of make believe. I set out to create this collection after my first visit to this incredible location & seeing the unique colors of the terrain and feeling like I was on another planet. I wanted the images to feel as unreal to the viewer as it felt to me.

I returned on 3 separate occasions, hiking solo up the steep cinder cone in the dark in order to have the appropriate light for what I needed. On each occasion I had the unique pleasure of complete solitude while I worked. With the unusual aesthetic & the lengths it took to capture & create it, this is truly my favorite body of work so far.
