My study on bodies got twisted. In an attempt to achieve the uniqueness of each image I have let myself create something new, something that I’ve never tried before. Blending of those images started accidentally when I began “seeing” something different and unreal from what I’d initially created. In order to come up with a final result, I spent hours studying more than one image and more than one idea. Having one, two, or three distinct bodies has the same complexity when it comes to the final result. Sometimes some people see things in a “weird” way…welcome to my world.
The initial project started as an abstract representation of the human body by taking close-up shots of various parts. In every image, my purpose is to create a “metasoma” which is literally defined as “a region that cannot be readily analyzed into its primitive segmentation”. In the case of my photos, my purpose was to create such a photo that it would be difficult to analyze which part of the body was initially being photographed.
The project became more surreal as I was getting deeper into it. After a couple of experiments, I realized that the new form totally removes anything that might look human or it used to lead to anything human. As a new metasomatic structure now, the viewers cannot really recognize the human body, and to an extent, nor can they analyze the body part they’re viewing. Every collector is eligible for a limited edition signed and numbered print. I strongly believe that holding a physical copy of a photo will add value and provide an additional investment.
