In the late 1800's, women in the Whitechapel district of London, England fell victim to an unknown serial killer known as Jack the Ripper. The complicated truth of Jack's identity is that he was a voracious entity traversing spacetime as easily as humans walk through doorways.

A ragtag gang of street urchins bore witness to Jack one fateful evening. "A man made of brilliant machinery with horrible spiraling eyes" described one child. Another claimed he is a "Nightmare man made of lightning and knives". They simply did not have the words to properly identify what they had seen.

Authorities routinely ignored the orphans. The right and proper investigators did not "have time for the foolishness of children". The Whitechapel killings were never solved.

In 2024, murders and missing persons cases are at all-time highs. From 1891 until now, many unsolved crimes match those from Whitechapel. The actual number that can be attributed to the entity called The Ripper is unknown.
