The story of Nigeria is a long one that has been told by different mouths. Each mouth has its version of what Nigeria was or is. I'm not going to tell this story anymore, so let me show you instead then you can decide what version of the story you want to believe. Let me share with you what the experience of walking down the streets of the Giant of Africa really entails. Let me give you a memory of somewhere you have never been.
To replicate this experience through blueprints, I had to create layers of candid photos of my daily commute for a period of 61 days and paired them with the audio of my surrounding during the photographing process. The result of this is a unique audio-visual experience that is somewhere between a picture and a video.
This unique audio-visual experience is what makes up this photo memoir and just like a book, each page from this memoir is an NFT that represents a piece of my country that you don’t see in the mainstream. The NFTs in this blueprint collection are of 4 types namely The People. The Commuters, The Economy, and The Rainy Days. These different types represent (respectively) the Nigerians at the grassroots level, the overworked working class and their taxi-driving counterparts, the workplaces and conditions, and finally, the sad rainy days that we all experience.
