Walking NYC
As the natural splendor of the evening unfolds, with iconic bridges standing majestically in the background and the lights beginning to twinkle like stars on the water's surface, a woman is engrossed in the glow of a smartphone. This contrast highlights a contemporary dichotomy: the dissonance between our increasing digital engagement and the often-overlooked beauty of the world around us. The image is a subtle commentary on our times, where one can be physically present in a place of stunning urban beauty, yet mentally ensconced in a digital realm, disconnected from the tangible wonders right before their eyes.
Being from Upstate NY I feel fortunate to be close to one of the greatest cities the world has. Grew up going to Flushing often to visit family and many times wished I could live in the sea of chaotic harmony that is NYC. It's a place that is an escape for me that fills many desires - fun, meeting friends, the ability to be lost in the crowds, people watching, relaxing in the sounds of the streets. I love this city that never sleeps.
