Walking NYC
The helmet mirrors the vibrant street scene, creating a unique perspective of the urban environment in its curved visor. This candid moment speaks to the individuality found within the collective rhythm of daily life. The wearer, turned away from the camera, is anonymous yet central, a single character in the wider narrative of the city. The image is a play on the urban and the personal, a shiny beacon that reflects the dynamic movement and color of the world around it.
If you look closely, you can spot me in the reflection in a bit of an abstract self-portrait.
Being from Upstate NY I feel fortunate to be close to one of the greatest cities the world has. Grew up going to Flushing often to visit family and many times wished I could live in the sea of chaotic harmony that is NYC. It's a place that is an escape for me that fills many desires - fun, meeting friends, the ability to be lost in the crowds, people watching, relaxing in the sounds of the streets. I love this city that never sleeps.
