Generative music portraiture. It started with a vague idea of creating generative portraiture and music from the same data and combining them into singe pieces of work. This collection is the result of experimenting with this idea. The visuals are generated from three main sources of data, two portrait photographs and 83 handdrawn line portraits and a facecaptured model of my head . In order to create one of these animations the system selects a handful pixels from a photograph which seeds the chain of events that constructs the rest. An example of this is how the melodies in the music are direct copies of the X (timing) and Y (pitch) coordinates of these seed vecors. Various Each of the two seeds that have been generated for this collection have been rendered from two perspectives in the same 3D space, the only aspects that sperate the two are the angle from which they are rendered (front and side, rotated by 90 degrees from eachother) and color variables. Beyond editing the code and rendering setup there has been no editing after the actual generating of the data.
