My best friend swims with Blue Mao Mao at the Poor Knights Islands in New Zealand.

We were excited to be out on the boat on this particular day in the winter months as the water was clear and the sun was shining. The Poor Knights Islands is part of the Poor Knights Islands Marine Reserve and a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of New Zealand's best dive sites.

As we swam into this Arch for the first time we couldn't quite believe our eyes .. 2 fabulous archways with the sun shining through both of them!

However the best was yet to come because I hadn't put my camera in the water yet .. and what did come next was truly such a beautiful moment I will never forget it. My bestie took a dive under the water and I went down with her with my camera ... and this is what we saw. Hundreds of Blue Mao Mao swimming in the light beams .. honestly one of the most peaceful and hypnotic moments I've witnessed to this day.

We spent hours out on the ocean that day. It was one of those moments when I realised just how lucky I am to do what I do and with the people I love.
