Giselle was born to a noble family in a small village in the Kingdom of Lamontagne. When she was five, her parents died in a fire that destroyed their home. She was sent to live with her aunt and uncle in the capital city, where she grew up learning to dance and sing. When she was sixteen, she auditioned for the prestigious Royal Academy of Dance, and was accepted into the program. Giselle studied hard under the tutelage of the best dancers in the kingdom, and quickly rose to become one of the most promising students at the academy. She won numerous competitions, and was even asked to perform for the king and queen on several occasions. However, Giselle's happiness was not to last. When she was nineteen, her aunt and uncle were killed in a carriage accident. Grief-stricken, she withdrew from the academy and returned to her village. Though her family was gone, Giselle found solace in dance. She started teaching classes at the local church hall, and quickly gained a reputation as an excellent instructor. She continued to compete in regional dance competitions, and even won a few championships. At twenty-five, Giselle met Olivier Lamontagne, a young man from a wealthy family who had recently moved to her village. The two fell in love and were married six months later. Olivier supported Giselle's passion for dance, and together they built a prosperous dance school in Lamontagne. Giselle spent the rest of her life teaching others how to find joy through dance, just as she had after her own tragedies. She became known as one of the finest dancers in all of Lamontagne, and her name is still remembered with reverence by those who knew her.
