The Hawaii Tax Appeal Court finally resolved a long-running dispute over whether four major online travel companies -- Travelocity, Expedia, Orbitz and Priceline -- were required to pay excise taxes relating to their hotel and other bookings in the state. The four companies ended up paying a total of 53.1 million. The announcement did not specify how the amount was to be divided among the four companies. Here we assume it was divided equally among them.
