I have always loved plants and animals and have painted many of them. Nowadays, there are various environmental problems on the earth. Among them, I am particularly interested in deforestation. Deforestation has greatly affected the ecosystems of the plants and animals that live there, and the situation is critical. The rhinoceros depicted in this painting is the Sumatran rhinoceros, which has become an endangered species due to deforestation. Since the late 20th century, tropical forests in their native habitat have been reduced, degraded, and fragmented due to the rapid increase in logging, afforestation, and plantation development. This has led to an increase in poaching, which is another reason for the endangered species.
What I can do is small things, such as cutting down on excessive packaging. But I believe that some things can change through the accumulation of small things.
Is the human hand there to destroy or to protect? I think that is a question we will always consider.
