I had shot a lot surf from the air and I could do it all day - But I really wanted to get in the water and see it from a new perspective. It didn't disappoint. You almost have to be 3 times as aware in the water than in the air. So much going on around you, and being stationary in the water, In a blink of an eye the moment could be over. Shooting in the water made me appreciate being in the present moment so much more. Sunset silhouettes were my favorite to shoot. Peaceful and timeless.
