PieceOfMe is a crypto-art project that plays with human desire, fantasies and hopes and addresses power in relation to ownership. Of interest is my power to sell myself and your power to become owner of a piece of me.
By selling me as NFT I can ensure exclusivity as well as the guarantee of ownership. Each piece of me exists exactly once and each piece of me can be owned only by one entity - a non-fungible real and digital good. This puts me - as a real existing, ephemeral and transient person who remains a mystery - in contrast to my glassy, controllable digital three-dimensional image that remains stored in the blockchain forever accessible to all.

Ownership entails a fictional shift in power relations that seems to have a particular attraction. The project addresses human existence on a physical and digital level. In doing so, it aims to discuss both human rights and their limits in relation to property and ownership.
