There were moments when getting out of bed seemed like the hardest thing to do. Then those moments of misery became normal. Then the new “normal” became comfortable.

A reminder to always grow: I speak about the importance of confrontation, especially when you're confronting yourself. But I think it is also just as important to comfort yourself. Try to achieve a balance between these two, it's not easy but trying is all you can do.

I bring up comfort because if self-growth comes only from a place of self-hatred, you will fall back into the same hole you fought so hard to crawl out of. Remind yourself that you're human.

I bring up balance because comfort can also make you comfortable. Remember to be kind but also to be honest. I went from staring at my ceiling to staring into a mirror. Our reflection can be our greatest teacher. Growth is never linear, but always try to grow.

Although it felt like my comfort zone was killing me, I now know I had to go through that to be here today.
