Solesta Vex was a child prodigy, gifted in chemical and pharmaceutical design. When she graduated pharmacy school at the age of 15, she was scouted by a pharma company to create a set of drugs that would improve people’s quality of life, but it was soon revealed that there were darker motives at play.

The drugs she was led to synthesize were designed by Warlord’s chemists to be highly addictive, creating a permanent dependence. One night at the lab, Solesta found some hidden communications between her colleagues and Warlord discussing the progress of the drug trials. She panicked, and tried to escape with all of the work files and drug samples, but was caught by security who accidentally broke the vials while grabbing her. She immediately overdosed on the drugs and was in a coma for the next two years, navigating the space between life and death.

One of her colleagues who also disagreed with the use of the drug, worked every night to create a vaccine that could wake Solesta from her coma. When the solution was finished, she injected Solesta, but the person who awoke was not the same person that went under.

Solesta had become dark, sinister, and quick-to-anger. The colleague explained to her what had happened, and Solesta saw it as an opportunity to create her own drug-dependent army. She joined forces with Warlord to fuel continued research and resources that allowed her to build, slowly and quietly, towards her own goals, while fulfilling the needs of the organization.
