The only survivor of the Salmonella Virus outbreak in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is immune, and was still a new born baby when the outbreak happened. The whole city wiped out, leaving him alone in a city of corpse. One night Eggward Scissorbeak passed by the city and heard his cry then decided to bring Saul home and took care of him.

Eggward is also immune, The perk of being a robot. He named the baby Saul Monella after the virus so that he will cherish his life and always remember how lucky he was to still be alive.
