I have known Alberto Oliveira's work for a number of years from Social Media. He works with manipulated photographs in a way that makes them seem very picturesque.

After a long time in painting, Alberto began photography studies. It was a very strong period of transition from analogical to digital devices and he was there trying to absorb new elements into his production. He also realized this borderline state in his images through exchange from other artists, photographers and painters.

Experimenting is a necessity for Alberto Oliveira.

Some works try to play with different realities, this frontier between the external and ordinary world where those images were taken from and bring them into a particular atmosphere.

Inspired by the ancient concept of prana—the vital energy that permeates all existence—the artist has captured the essence of this unseen force with remarkable clarity. Through skillful use of light and shadow, they have imbued the artwork with a sense of movement, as if the very essence of life is flowing and undulating before the viewer's eyes.
