This is a video of Refik Anadol's Unsupervised that I took when I visited the MoMA in New York City this summer, reprocessed with the prompts "crude oil, all black, exxon, drip" using Runway Ai.
This is not a critique as much as an acknowledgment of the amount of resources that are being gobbled up by Ai and all the power it takes to ... create art? Make Blackrock more profitable? Allow certain people to ... ???
There's an ever increasing disparity of wealth and access to art opportunities that are really driven by a billionaire class "philanthropy" caste that ends up using a disproportionate amount of patroleum to virtue signal all the things it takes to be part of the high eschelon of society that flies around the world to attend these self-congratulatory "events", whether museum of this or a that.
the costs of ever increasing isolation between the top and bottom levels of modern society is something that's been on my mind. Henry Kravis / MoMA / back door deals. Pablo. Colborn. "philanthropy" in the vein of almost excusing the outsized consumption of the few with a veneer of culturalism.
I hope some cunt gets to writeoff $15M to MoMA one day by "donating" this derivative piece of shit*
*not a garbage bag. fuck that guy. this is lasagna
