The more I grow, the more I see how much I've got missing inside.

This work was originally sculpted in virtual reality last November. It was my first birthday spent alone in a long long time. At the time I felt like I was exploring reflection, a pretty heavy theme in my life at the moment.. I explored for days, and it grew large and vast and eventually caved into a space that felt like had missed where this piece needed to really be. it had soul, but I dunno... I just lost it at that time.

Months later I realize it wasn't really about what I could see in that reflection, but really about what was missing, I entered the space and re-sculpted almost every element, I stripped it back to be a work about form and adornment and contemplation, This week I experienced some heights my career has never seen before, but all I want is to feel less hollow again, so I returned to here. to reflect and to understand even just an inch more of an empty space I've been carrying around.
