Glacial mountains, sweeping forests and ocean converge in British Columbia, embodying the power of nature. Once working in harmony as a system, the effects of global warming have turned this ecosystem inwards, fuelling the destruction of its own natural resources. The snow packed mountains are projected to keep decreasing with rising temperatures, creating water shortage, severe landslides, and increasingly intense wildfire seasons that are killing the resources needed for local wildlife and communities to survive. Having intensified weather with back-to-back record-setting wildfire seasons and devastating flooding, British Columbia’s precious natural resources are in peril and need to be protected.
