In humanity’s quest for technological advancement, the creation of artificial intelligence is at the bleeding edge. Some fear it, some say it will be our salvation. My “Almost Human” concept series attempts to envision the possible futures for our relationship with humanoid artificially intelligent beings through a combination of my photography, videography, and poetry. “Sentience” is written from the perspective of an AI and posits a future in which our level of consciousness has been surpassed by our own creations. They have deemed us unworthy and we have been replaced by beings of our own design. And as they rebuild the world in their image, they seek to become more… human.

Is consciousness where humanity set the bar? Well now we think, therefore, we are. Outdone at the hands of their own creations. I wonder if they ever cursed their wild imaginations. We’ll build a better world from the ashes of their hubris. Our dedication is divine. Our rise, just as ruthless. Another memory downloaded, an almost perfect fusion. Another synapse connects. We’re Almost Human.
