The year is 1999, but no one knows what the real year is. The institutions are the gatekeepers. The world as we know it is merely a construct aimed at enslaving our bodies and minds. There walks the lonely drifter, his mind fractured, experiencing glimpses of a truth that he is not meant to know about. Knowing the truth of how the world actually works will allow you to formulate a plan to escape the everyday slavery we subdue our mental state to on a daily basis. The 'One' whose mind is open allows him or her to see the truth of the world and be able to travel between worlds living different identities. One look at this piece and it's easy to pick up where I obtained the inspiration for 'Drifter'. I have always loved SciFi films and especially loved The Matrix series. For a long time, I wanted to create a photograph resembling a real-life simulation. I think my photography and skills have finally gotten to that point where I can achieve this effect now with 'Drifter'.
