The Voynich Manuscript is a handwritten codex from the early 15th century that is illustrated and written in an unknown secret language. The manuscript has 240 pages of fantastical illustrations and diagrams, but additional pages are missing, according to the evidence. The codex has never been demonstrably deciphered, despite numerous attempts over centuries. For hundreds of years, the mystery of its meaning has piqued the public's interest. I frequently find myself flipping through the pages of the script on rainy days. I keep going until I feel a connection, at which point I realize that perhaps this form of art was created with this intention in mind all along. Then I feel cheated and go back to turning one more page, hoping to find answers to all the lost questions I've never dared to ask, but all my mind finds are broken promises I'll never be able to keep.
