I shot this portrait in Bamako at the studio of my mentor, the Iconic Malian Photographer, Malick Sidibé. It is part of a body of work I did to protest the loss of our Freedom when the war started in the north of Mali in 2012. Terrorist groups had occupied Timbuktu, Women & Girls had lost their human rights.
