I have always had a deep fascination with Sci-Fi art. Growing up, I collected Sci-Fi art books from the likes of Michael Whelan and John Harris. I immersed myself in these surreal worlds created by these artists, and now this has overflowed into my work. Mystical was my first series where I experimented with my shooting style and processing, creating something different from a classic landscape. I'm now pushing my vision even further with experimentation of colour infrared and pushing the boundaries of processing in this genre.
This image was captured using a Full-Spectrum converted camera and a 590nm filter. This particular filter covers the electromagnetic spectrum from infrared to near-ultraviolet, wavelengths longer than visible light. It is therefore invisible to the human eye.
