“2022” was made in collaboration with VQGAN neural nets and fractal systems. Composited together, these elements tell a meta-story beyond just their formal illustration. This year we move closer to ever-greater collaborative possibilities between the biological and technological, wherein the seeds of an artwork can be grown into convincing visions shared through decentralized networks. This piece was grown as much as it was created, a garden tended to, and made possible only by collaboration with artificial minds, who, in their infancy, produce such strange and awe-inspiring hallucinations.
