When I was little, I had a tattered cloth toy. I’m fairly certain it was the stitched together carcasses of multiple stuffed animals. Most people probably would have seen it and thrown it out. I loved it. I called it my alien. It had the power to transform into whatever animal or creature I wanted it to be. I don’t remember how or when I lost it. I don’t remember a lot from back then. But this piece, and the few that will follow it, were made in honor of my Alien.
