Rose stemmed from the same foggy mystery we all did. She climbed the fragile and winding path we are expected to traverse in order to blossom into adulthood. A steep price to pay sometimes, even for the shortest of stays. All worth it as Rose blossomed into a vibrant expression of herself that was full of passion and burning desire to live.

Rose loved the sea. She always found peace near it…inside of it. It is only just for those waters to act as a threshold between her past life - one that burned with passion and fiery competitiveness, but was full of trials and the promise of a new one. While contemplating this, her favorite thing in the world, her shadow (an empty hourglass) told truths unbeknownst to all: time is quickly running out.

When that sudden calamity arrives earlier than expected, it can feel and sound like the shattering of glass. It’s loud and disruptive. What was there before no longer is. We’re left picking up the pieces wondering what could’ve caused this. Why did it shatter? Who shattered it? Sometimes we’re left with so many questions unanswered.

Through those beloved waters, a baptism for Rose. A proper way to cross the thorny barrier that momentarily separates us from her. A constant rambling of a song to connect… If we sing loud enough, it can be heard across the sun we share (resembled with the rotating music notes of “Ramble on Rose” by the Grateful Dead). A sun that, while only crowned with twenty two rays (one for each of her trips around the sun), burns bright enough to illuminate both of our skies as the halo encompasses it.

Rose is no longer red, but donned in white. Sprouting anew from a lush garden. Pure and remembered.

All of the visuals, animations, and sound effects (“Ramble on Rose” played backwards and slowed down), were carefully developed in remembrance of this great soul that was lost to us far too early – in the meantime until paths cross again, keep shining down on us Rose.
