Balos A is the first series of images that inspired the creation of the award-winning series Wind Sculptures. It was taken in Balos lagoon beach in Greece and It’s considered the most iconic setting of the entire Wind Sculptures collection. The sculptures that are in the center of each image, are formed by the emergency blanket, a material developed by NASA in 1964 for the US space program. This lightweight material continuously interacts with the wind, creating ever-changing shapes. The rocks that emerge from the shallow water are used by the artist as a plinth for these theatrical sculptures where humans and nature collaborate in a symbiotic performance.
