From a series of drawings produced in a book for the Brooklyn Museum's Sketch Book Project, now part of that collection. The title of the book is 'Visual Harmonics: the rise and fall of empire' and is an abstract reflection on the Habsburg Empire. The shapes and forms in the book were drawn/painted with black acrylic. The digital incarnations of this series utilise the black shapes as a starting point. Colour and shading were done by hand using a digital tablet.
