Johnson Shut-ins an hour outside of Saint Louis Missouri. Over the summer I was really in need of an adventure, and I was wanting to recreate a shot I took in the winter, but with the summer greens. It was my first time hiking on my own, and I hiked a couple miles through the forest and water to get away from the tourists and music where I found this spot. Quiet, secluded and relaxing.
I hike to satisfy wanderlust, to connect with the earth, and to escape life's many stresses and center myself. Every hike has something new to behold, even if I've been there several times before. Something I'm always searching for on my adventures is water. I feel like an adventure isn't complete until I have found the waterfall, or gotten my feet wet (sometimes more than just my feet).
