Millstream Gardens, Missouri. Autumn in the Midwest comes and goes quickly. Sometimes the leaves change early and other times the rushing winds come in and take them away faster than I can get the camera out. Fortunately mother nature was kind enough to work with me this year. The sun was harsh on this captivating spot, but hid behind the trees on the way back letting me capture the vibrant mosses, orange tinted trees, and soothing flow of water.
I hike to satisfy wanderlust, to connect with the earth, and to escape life's many stresses and center myself. Every hike has something new to behold, even if I've been there several times before. Something I'm always searching for on my adventures is water. I feel like an adventure isn't complete until I have found the waterfall, or gotten my feet wet (sometimes more than just my feet).
