compaktloop is not a complex nor lengthy piece of work. It's small conjunction of minimalistic, instrumental tracks I made on my laptop and Korg Monologue. It's the sound of my life in 2021 so far; I recently moved to my own place looking for peace, happiness, and liberation. I do not need much to live content, and hopefully, this is reflected in its simplicity.

Tracklist: airae4 (0:00) enigma0kq (2:05) compaktloop (4:20) 2mbpha (5:57) inter3hfx (7:56) leg4cy (9:55) 2.1 (bonus track on download)

cover art was created by me, using the mascot created by noisivy (@n0isivy) and the Sputnik type font by niko.4696 (@niko_4696), and myself with one of my favorite outfits <3

track #5 was initially used for a video piece I made on KnownOrigin this year (https://knownorigin.io/gallery/308600).

track #6 is a recreation of a song I heard somewhere on the internet, probably in a DJ set, but I couldn't get the name of it. It lasted on my head for a while, so I made this tiny beat. Later on, I discovered it was "Let's all chant" by Michael Zager (Band). It blew my mind that the original is 44 years old; I ended up naming this track "leg4cy" for sticking around that long. Super-classic.

my personal favorites are #2 and #3 (enigma0kq and compaktloop).

Maybe you can tell the aesthetic this album roars TRANS, because I am non-binary! Slowly coming out, trying to keep my digital identity isolated from my real person since that would compromise my safety. It's also a challenging process because not so many people—even close friends and family—understand transitioning or non-binary gender identities (some are even hostile to these ideas). On the internet, however, I found the kindest and supportive people. It is heartwarming to found other openly trans artists in electronic music and visual art. Mainly, Kate the Cursed, Zvrra, and DJ Girl really got into my brain and recently became my most significant artistic inspiration. Though we haven't talked too much (or even met in person), their art and their existance speaks to me powerfully.

Today is a great day because I'm gonna make it a great day. I hope you like this small gift from mine 💝
