Flora loves plants. She spent her entire childhood with her father, who worked in the greenhouse. She was always walking around the garden and looking at the plants. One day, local businessmen wanted to take this oak tree to build a mall in its place. Flora began to fight. She protested, Flora decided to sit under that oak until it was safe. People began to gather around Flora to support her. A few weeks later, people from all over the country came to this oak tree, all inspired by the story of the eight-year-old girl. The great public outcry thwarted the businessmen's plans, and the oak was recognized as a local landmark. Years later, Flora would write a book about the story and teach at the university.
