The city of Aurich developed as the industrial center of elysia, giving birth to an era of merchants and mass production fueled by the discovery of angelstone. Today, a massive web of techies, bioengineers, capital managers, and tradesmen have developed from the remnants of Aurich’s industrial past. Deeply under the control of dear father, the vibrant, chaotic culture of Aurich is contained within its walls.

The old train system, built under the ground of the city, was largely expanded upon by Megacorp Machina when contracted by the city of Aurich to prepare defenses against the predicted angel attack. Lines were expanded across the city, underground passages were built into the wheatlands and beyond to protect Aurich’s supply chain, and underground shelters were created to rent out to the wealthy in the event of an attack.

Today, these passages are largely out of use, as travel outside of the city is largely forbidden with the exception of those with certain business permits or dear father’s blessing.
