The first art work in the "Ecstatic Dance of Duality" series.

This project is meant to take my work out of the comfort zone of the painterly aesthetic I usually create. I aimed for a more contemporary approach, and at the same time, I wanted to retain the composition and posing native to my style.   The lighting was especially challenging compared to my usual setup, because I needed to create the right highlights and depth on black and use shadows for sculpting the white. All at once. That resulted in a lengthy shoot,  about 8 hours including the bodypainting, and a cumbersome editing process, in order to eliminate all imperfections and areas of contagion between black and white surfaces, to achieve a level of perfection close to computer generated 3D models.

In October 2022, the presented work placed first and received the Gold Award in the Fine Art Nude category at the WPE World Cup 2022  (second half) out of  10k+ participants from 170 countries worldwide.
