About the artist: Saphera Peters is a South Asian artist who was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. In the earlier years of her life, she was determined to be a portrait photographer. However, she discovered the world of illustration during her time in university and it opened up a whole new door of creativity for her. Since then, she has translated her love for people and faces into illustrating women of colour as a way for her to bring more representation into mainstream media.
