So today, I decided
To take a breath
And see what the world
Had in store for me;
I'd heard
That
There was nothing
But war
And killing and everything...
But I'll breathe.
And when I decided
To take a breath
And breathed, slowly, quietly
To see
If maybe
Someone might
Notice that I'm alive...
I cried then was calmed
By the sea...
And breathed, once again,
I breathed.
And as I took another breath
And was met
With joy
Cold, Care, then Warmth
All I heard
At least for now
Luckily, was not true...
So I breathed, yes
I breathed.
So today, I've decided
To take a breath
And will do my best
To be
Someone who might notice
Others maybe in need like me
And make the most of this life...
And breathe.
