Hope The presence of life among death can represent resilience, hope, and perseverance. It is a reminder that even in the darkest of circumstances, life can continue to thrive and flourish. Life is an unbreakable spirit, which refuses to be defeated by death or darkness; it is a powerful force.

New beginnings emerge from endings. Death can provide the necessary space and resources for new life to grow and flourish. In this way, death and life are seen as complementary, forming a continuous cycle of growth and renewal. The cycle serves as a reminder that we too are a part of the same cycle. Our lives are interconnected to the lives of others and the world around us. The interconnectedness provides opportunities for growth and resilience even in the most challenging of circumstances.

The idea that life exists among death is a source of inspiration. Knowing that life has the ability to overcome death and darkness, provides us the courage to persevere; the courage to live.

THE ARTIST

Hendro Soetrisno is an internationally acclaimed photographer with an impressive list of achievements. He holds the title of Master of Photography from PPA, as well as being a Master Photographer in Fine Art - Accredited in Fine Art Nature from MPI, and a Master of WPPI. Hendro has won over 150 prestigious awards from reputable organizations worldwide, including Professional Photographer of America, Wedding and Portrait Photographers International, Master Photographers International, and Australian Institute of Professional Photography. He has also won several Photographer of the Year titles from various professional organizations. Representing the United States in the World Photographic Cup, he brought home the gold medal in the Nature category and the Best of Nations award.

As a visual storyteller, Hendro's fine art images reflect his imagination, where the colors of the sky and water are not always blue, and birds and other animals speak to him when he speaks to them. His photographic journey began with a medium format film camera, and he started as a landscape photographer. Over time, he became interested in wedding and portrait photography, and eventually settled into fine art nature photography, which has become his specialty.

Hendro entered his first professional competition in AIPP and it was there that he received his first awards. He continued to enter major professional competitions, including WPPI, PPA, and MPI, where he had to compete against some of the world's best photographers. These experiences helped him to continue learning and growing as a photographer.

In recognition of his achievements, Hendro has earned Master degrees from PPA, MPI, and WPPI. These degrees represent the accumulation of his achievements in each prestigious competition. Additionally, he is an accredited fine art nature photographer in MPI.

Hendro has also had the privilege of mentoring other photographers and finds great satisfaction in helping others grow and succeed in their craft.

In addition to his achievements in the world of traditional photography, Hendro has also ventured into the exciting world of NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens). In mid-January 2022, he released his first NFT series called "VIVID," which consisted of 10 unique images, each with an edition of 1. This series was a huge success, as everything was sold out in just one month.

Hendro also founded and ran the collective Artists United, and their first project, "TOGETHER," was the first in the history of the NFT photography collective to be curated by a collector, AlphaTrilogy, with a buy-back guarantee. It sold out in just three days.

Furthermore, Hendro's sold out first editions were the first in the history of NFT photography to be curated by a collector, NiftyMetaGirl.

These were major milestones in his career as an NFT artist, and he is grateful for the opportunity to have worked with such esteemed collectors.

Hendro was also one of the first artists to be accepted in WhaleShark’s Whale's Exhibiting Artists, which was another great opportunity for him to showcase his artwork to a wider audience.
