It's a "zero-player game," inspired in part by Conway's Game of Life. There are 4-10 pixel blobs on the screen that grow automatically according to a defined set of rules. The game ends when all available cells are occupied by a blob. Some spots prefer to swell slowly and evenly in all directions. Other spots prefer to aggressively push all their energy in one direction, gobbling up as much territory as possible.
