Church’s Current Status: Abandoned

This beautifully abandoned gem was one of 17 churches that were shutdown by the diocese, in an undisclosed city, in Midwest USA. It was slated for demolition the following year and the grounds would have been donated to a neighbourhood outreach center. But before the demo could come to fruition, she managed to escape the wrecking ball. There seemed to be some complications with the demolition permit, and as a result, this century old church stands in it's place to this day. The community, who celebrated many wedding, baptisms and other sacraments in the main sanctuary, were delighted at the news and maintain an undying hope that the structural and safety concerns will eventually be addressed.
