VOTE #1 SPAM: RETURN TO SENDER

SPAM is a collaborative project from @Jay_Delay It centers around a collective wallet where NFTs can be sent in exchange for $SPAM

VOTE #1 SPAM is the first opportunity the $SPAM collective has had to vote on an issue of the governance of the $SPAM wallet. In perhaps a first, an historic use of NFTs and cryptoart from @Jay_Delay and $SPAM, the collective had the opportunity to vote via NFTs.

The question put to the vote was: What to do if if someone accidentally sends an NFT to the wallet?

This question goes to the integrity and consistency of the $SPAM wallet. As a general rule, all 1/1 remain the $SPAM wallet and multiples may at some time in the future be airdropped to $SPAM holders or exchanged for $SPAM. A 1/1 sent to the $SPAM wallet is essentially burned. The NFT is β€˜museumed’ in the $SPAM wallet to become part of NFT & cryptoart history & add to the value of the $SPAM vault.

The question was raised as a member of the collective, @SmithSatoshi aka AceKennedy.eth, accidentally sent an NFT to spamwallet.eth.

What to do?

Ignoring the fact that @SmithSatoshi is a much admired member of the $SPAM collective and wider cryptoart community, or the value of an NFT, what reliance could an artist, collector and the collective have that a 1/1 remains in the $SPAM wallet in the future?

While we in crypto ride in the β€˜Wild West’ and can make it up as we go along, reliability and consistency is central to the strength, integrity and future of any project. As this question had now been raised, perhaps a timeframe could be added as a general rule for the return of any NFT to the sender - 24 hours, 7 days, whatever? This is just an idea to consider for the future.

And now, blathering and verbose meandering aside, it is time to cast my vote in the inaugural, the historic, vote by NFT for the $SPAM collective…

Drum roll please…

I vote: YES!

Return the NFT.
