Thank you for finding my artwork and reading its description.

My name is Monika, and I am an abstract artist from planet Earth (not originally), and in NFTs since July 2021. You are currently looking at my SuperRare debut piece, published via the ArtGee15 Spaces Gallery on my birthday on December 12th in 2022.

Like all my works, this too has a physical basis: the original is completely round, and I worked with acrylic paint that I had to properly thin down in order for the dynamics to unfold in all its glory. The painting was later digitalized, basic adjustments in brightness and saturation were made, and a mirrored and superimposed version was used as a new background.

The other ingredients of this artwork are love, empathy, and my emotions. Since last year, many of my artist friends whom I have met in this space have become refugees; the daily news got a lot more personal with my connections in the Web3 space. War and oppression and an increased number of natural disasters do not just flicker by on a screen anymore, but they are here, each and every day, openly on Twitter and even more so in direct messages. The scariest days are those when we hear nothing at all.

Art helps me, like many of us artists, to process my strong emotions and to cope with what my brain struggles to make sense of. I do not paint 'something', but I paint what is right there in me and wants to surface.
