'Attenuation of Thought'
1/1 5440 x 5440 px 30MP
This delicate rice paper painting is characterised by expressive calligraphic brush lines, indelible mark making, palpable spaces and atmospheric stillness.
The works in this collection oscillate between abstraction and figuration, drawing from an observation of nature to make visible the invisible. Through cross-cultural fertilization with the East I have sought, formed and felt an enriched understanding of the sublime experience.
Professor Dong Ya’s review of 'Liminal Space' (extract)
“Georgina’s series of works express the integration of time and space. It is difficult to draw great mountains and rivers with limited ink. Georgina’s painting strokes, in which ink and water are blended together, are vivid and lively, simultaneously dry and wet. Her ethereal and flowing compositions from the scatter perspective with the eye of her heart is the spirit of Chinese ink and water with the form of Western Modern Constructivism."
