The veeta are the opposite of a beach lifeguard and spend their days bobbing in the shallow waters of Pud Sea looking for anyone who seems to be struggling on the land. If they spot someone who they believe would be more comfortable with the water they will quickly grab them from the shore with their tentacles and whisk them out to sea. You are particularly at risk if they see you trying to have land based fun with water because in their minds it suggests you want more water. Youngsters with water pistols are frequently snatched from the shore line. Some folk have been whisked out to sea just because they were enjoying a beach side shower. Don’t worry though, once they discover you don’t have gills or scales they’ll probably let you go.
